Katrina is Youth Policy Counsel for The Gault Center, where she works to interweave racial justice throughout the organization’s programmatic work and partners with youth defenders and stakeholders across the country to enhance youth defense.

Prior to joining The Gault Center, Katrina was a Staff Attorney at Juvenile Law Center, where she focused on addressing economic injustice and inequity for system-involved youth and opposing extreme sanctions for youth in the adult system through litigation, amicus, and policy advocacy efforts.

Katrina holds a BA in Political Science from Seattle University and a JD from Georgetown Law, where she worked with the DC Public Defender Services’ Juvenile Services Program, the juvenile division of the Maryland Office of the Public Defender, and the ABA’s Racial Justice Improvement Project.

Katrina lives in Maryland with the world’s cutest puppy, Lavender, and spends her days learning recipes and design ideas from Food Network and HGTV.
