Organization Description: Detroit Area Youth Uniting Michigan (DAYUM) is a youth-led organization that builds and implements strategic youth-led campaigns across the state of Michigan. DAYUM offers an infrastructure for youth organizing to ensure youth voices are included in key decision-making processes that impact youth and their communities. DAYUM works across a variety of issues including gun violence, education justice, and public health as identified and prioritized by youth leaders and offers resources, peer support, and leadership development opportunities for youth.
Program Description: DAYUM meets weekly to strategize and organize their current campaigns. During these meetings, youth receive training and hands-on leadership development opportunities in organizing and campaign building across critical issues impacting youth and their communities.

Eligibility: Any interested high school student, especially in Detroit, is eligible to participate in DAYUM.
