Organization Description: The P.E.A.C.E. and H.O.P.E. Center provides a welcoming space where young people can participate in a wide range of programs and activities that promote healthy development and socioemotional well-being. Through academic support, skill-building workshops, extracurricular activities, clubs, and other learning opportunities, the Center helps youth build confidence and essential life skills.

Program Description:

The Center offers a wide range of programs designed to help young people reach their full potential. Key programs include:

  • Summer Program: The Center provides a low-cost summer program for children and youth. For teenagers between the ages of 13 and 17, the Center offers an independent, leadership-focused program, and for children between the ages of 7 and 12, the Center offers a more structured program tailored to growth and healthy development. Both programs include engaging, hands-on opportunities to build skills, confidence, and creativity in a range of activities from STEM to music to sports.
  • After-School Program: The Center offers young people a safe and welcoming space after school to be nourished, access support for schoolwork, and engage with diverse clubs and activities based on their interests.
  • Active Learner's Day Program: The Center creates a space for all young people to attend school through Missouri's free online public school program with appropriate support, guidance, and tools.
  • Skills Building Program: The Center provides an opportunity to learn practical, creative, and career-focused skills in areas such as entrepreneurship, design, barbering, and workforce readiness.

Eligibility: All children and youth between the ages of 7 to 18 in the Columbia, MO area are eligible to participate in programming.
