Organization Description: Progress Pushers is dedicated to uplifting the experiences of youth and supporting their holistic needs to connect them to opportunities in their communities. Their mission is "to guide, educate and empower Black and Brown youth and those most impacted by societal systems by connecting them to mentors and much needed skills and opportunities so they can live in their greatness." Drawing on their lived experience, specialized training, and expertise, the Progress Pushers team works to transform the lives of young people who are at risk of or directly impacted by the juvenile and criminal legal systems.

Program Description:

Progress Pushers rely on a strengths-based, community-based, and peer-support model to offer services for young people. Some of their key programs include:

• Youth Mentorship & System Navigation: This program focuses on building individual relationships with youth and young adults to assist them in navigating systemic barriers and identifying and accomplishing their goals.
• Credible Messenger Groups: This program offers young people who have been impacted by the juvenile or criminal legal systems with group-based support, facilitated by trained Credible Messenger professionals. These groups go through four phases of curriculum that focus on guiding young people to better understand themselves, their future, and their purpose in life.
• Keys to Success: This program is a music group focused on giving young people the skills to pursue a career in the music industry and/or engage in musical arts as a wellness activity.
